Looking for a space to ignite your creativity, connect with other writers, and nurture your craft? Writing Lab is a monthly gathering where up to seven writers—myself included—come together for an hour and a half of inspiration, writing, and sharing.

What Happens in the Lab?

• Writing Prompts: I’ll share prompts designed to spark new ideas or help us dive deeper into ongoing projects.
• Focused Writing Time: We’ll write quietly together, tapping into that creative energy that flows when writers share a space.
• Read-Aloud: Each writer will have the opportunity to read what they’ve written. The group responds with positive feedback, focusing on what resonates and stands out.
• Craft Discussion: Sometimes, we’ll explore an element of writing craft, sharing insights and experiences that can help us grow as writers.

Is My Genre Welcome?

The Writing Lab is open to all genres, though the prompts will be geared toward fiction. You’ll encounter a diverse mix of voices and styles, so bring your big ears — we’re here to celebrate writing in all its forms.

Is This for New or Experienced Writers?

Writers of all levels are welcome. Whether you’re just starting or have been writing for years, the Lab is a space for experimentation and exploration—without pressure. The focus is on enjoying the process and listening to each other’s work.

What’s the Cost?

Currently, Writing Lab is free of charge! I’m excited to bring writers together to explore, write, and grow without any financial barriers. In the future, I may invite donations to help support the time and resources that go into each session.

If the Lab becomes a valuable part of your creative process, there will be ways for you to contribute. (Guest host, anyone?) Until then, your presence and participation are what matter most!

Where and When Do We Meet?

We’ll meet on Zoom once a month. Exact day and time are to be determined, but I’m looking at options on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Once I confirm a regular time, I’ll share it with all participants.
